Your deeds don’t earn you righteousness; your faith in Christ Jesus already did!

TO THE BIBLE Romans 5:17

“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)”

LET’S TALK

Even after he had been born again, Freddie still felt he wasn’t as righteous as he ought to be. Sadly, there are Christians today, who, like Freddie, feel they fall short of the standards of righteousness. But that assumption is far from the truth. When you were born again, the righteousness of God was automatically credited to your account.

You shouldn’t try to be righteous, because you were born righteous the moment you received Christ. It’s not based on what you do, so it’s pointless to try to impress God with your “good works.” The Bible says it’s “Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:9 KJV).

As far as God is concerned, your righteousness is legal. “How could this be?” you may ask. The Bible says “(Abraham) did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith; therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone that it (righteousness) was imputed to him, but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.” (Romans 4:24-25).

Jesus was delivered to death for your offences, and raised back to life for your acquittal. And now, because of your faith in Him, you’ve been formally declared not guilty. God no longer charges you with any offence. You’re now a new man, with the life and nature of God, having no past (2 Corinthians 5:17). You’ve been imparted with God’s righteousness to reign and rule in life. Glory to God!

Go Deeper: Matthew 5:15-16, Romans 1:16

Pray: Dear Lord, I pray that the light of your grace, that brings salvation, will shine brightly in the dark places of the earth as the Gospel is unveiled to them, that men and women therein would be turned from darkness to light, and become partakers of your grace and love, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Act: Make sure you preach the Gospel to at least 5 people this week.

SEPTEMBER 14, 2020: HE HAS MY HEART!

I declare that I’m in Christ, born again and full of the Holy Spirit. He has my heart! I have the life and nature of God in my heart. There’s a change in my heart; a transformation inside. I experience transformation and glory in my soul and body as a result of the impact and influence of the life and nature of God in my spirit. The Kingdom of God is set up in my heart. The Holy Spirit finds expression in my heart, dispensing His love through me. Out of the good treasures of my heart, I bring forth good. I’m mightily blessed by the Holy Spirit. I’m a life-giver. Thank You dear Father, for setting up your Kingdom in my heart. With my heart, I envision and apprehend the realities of the Gospel and of our Kingdom-life. I pray for the unsaved around the world, that their hearts be open to receive the Gospel, and be saved; that your power for salvation will mantle their hearts even now, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Hallelujah!

It’s Important To Know And Use What You’ve Got In Christ

Rhapsody of Realities Confessions

SEPTEMBER 15, 2020: HE’S WITH ME AND IN ME!

I declare that the Holy Spirit is my comforter, helper, teacher, guide, standby, counsellor and advocate. He’s with me and in me; therefore, I can never be in the dark or miss my way in life. He lives in my heart and abides with me forever. I’m conscious of His presence in my life. Irrespective of what I may face in my life, divinity is at work in me! Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I’m manifesting Christ; Christ in me, the hope of glory! Heaven is in me; The fullness of the Godhead is fully tabernacled in me, and expressed through me! Thank You dear Father, for the great honour and blessing of having Christ live in me by the Holy Spirit; by virtue of His indwelling and abiding presence, I’m infused with divine energy and supernatural wisdom to do the will of God, and live triumphantly over the devices of the evil one and the corrupting influences in this world. Hallelujah!
