The Work Of The Anointing

The Work Of The Anointing

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing” (Isaiah 10:27).

The day being referred to in Isaiah 10:27 is the day of redemption from the adversary. That day came when Jesus died for us and rose again; His resurrection ushered in the new day. However, note that the Scriptures didn’t say, “in that day you shall take the burden away from your shoulder,” because it’s not your responsibility but God’s responsibility. Most people read the latter portion of this Scripture as “the yoke shall be destroyed with the anointing” and so they hope, whilst praying and decreeing, that the anointing will destroy the yoke. No sir! Just as you were delivered when you came into Christ (Colossians 1:12-14), the anointing of the Holy Ghost destroyed every yoke. Every time the devil tries to put a yoke on you, it breaks. He puts another one and it shatters, all because of the anointing upon your life. It’s impossible to yoke you, because you’re the anointed of the Lord. When you realize the significance of this, it’ll mark the end of all frustrations in your life. In the book of Numbers chapter 23, king Balak hired Balaam to curse the children of Israel.  Balaam was a prophet, but the more he tried to work against Israel, the more futile it became. Every time he opened his mouth to curse, God put words of blessing in his mouth. After three unsuccessful attempts, he finally said, “Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it” (Numbers 23:20), Hallelujah! He declared with his own mouth: “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel…” (Numbers 23:23). The anointing of the Holy Ghost upon your life is burden-removing and yoke-destroying, Hallelujah!

The True Helper

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever” (John 14:16).

Many times Christians seek help from all the wrong places. This is one reason many of God’s children experience disappointments in their lives. The Holy Spirit is the greatest Friend and only true Helper you could ever know. You can see this truth better in the International Standard Version rendering of the same portion of Scripture: “I will ask the Father to give you another Helper, to be with you always” (John 14:16). You must learn to depend on the Holy Spirit whenever you need help. His ministry in your life is to help you become everything God has planned for you to be and receive everything He’s planned for you to have. People struggle in life because they haven’t learnt how to take advantage of His ministry. You need to realize that the Holy Spirit is more willing for, and committed to your success than you could ever be. He knows every help you would ever require in carrying out your assignments in life better than you do and He’s ever willing to provide that help. He knows everyone and everything you need to fulfil your purpose and destiny and if you would ask Him, He’ll help you locate them. The Holy Spirit hasn’t come to cheat but to help us. He has come to help us gain the mastery in our business, family, ministry and finances. He has come to give us an understanding that people of the world don’t have access to. He’s come to give us divine wisdom with which to live a successful and victorious life. It doesn’t matter what the situation may be, always call on Him for help. He’s more willing to help you than you could ever be willing to be helped. Learn to trust the Holy Spirit and depend on Him always for help.
