The Power Of The Holy Ghost

The Power Of The Holy Ghost

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

The need for the Holy Spirit in our lives can never really be overemphasized. He is the third Person of the Godhead. What does it mean to say He is the third Person of the Godhead?  Does it mean He’s the least of them? No. He is co-equal with the Father and the Son, but when we say He is the third Person of the Godhead, we mean He is the third of the three Persons to be revealed to us. In Genesis 1:1-2 we read, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Wonderful!  The Spirit of God was the first to be revealed in the Scriptures but He is the third to be revealed in His Ministry. Isn’t it amazing! Almighty God created the earth through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Doer of the Word of God. When God spoke, the Holy Spirit swung into action and brought God’s Word to pass. The Holy Spirit worked evidently throughout Jesus’ ministry on earth. Jesus gave commandments to His apostles through the Holy Ghost; We can see this in Acts 1:1-2: “The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen.” It’s the same today when the Word of God comes to you. It comes through the Holy Spirit. He helps you, uplifts you and takes away every burden, sickness, disease, infirmity, weakness and limitation. The Holy Spirit of God is with you and in you today! He’s real; in fact He’s more real than anyone around you. You only need to acknowledge Him and relate with Him by faith.

The Leading Of The Spirit

“…he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life,” (John 8:12).

God doesn’t expect you to walk through life ignorantly. He doesn’t expect you to live like the rest of the world in blindness, because they are really in blindness. God doesn’t want your life to be one of trial and error, winning today, losing tomorrow, up today, down tomorrow. He wants you to come to a place of maturity where He can lead you by His Spirit, for if you’re led by the Spirit of God, you’ll never lose your way. Christians have been involved in terrible accidents in life, not just motor accidents, but financial accidents, emotional accidents and all kinds of accidents, just because they didn’t recognize the leading of the Spirit of God in their lives. When I talk about being led by the Spirit, don’t think I’m talking about hearing a strange voice coming from some mysterious place, or a voice waking you up in the dead of the night. That could happen but that’s not what you should seek. That’s not the major way God leads His children. You could hear an audible voice, but of course, you always have to measure what you hear by the written Word. That’s when you can tell it’s really the voice of God. There are issues of life not expressly dealt with in the Bible, for which you may require guidance. For example, things that concern daily living, such as decision-making, travelling, or even making purchases. Perhaps you want to see a friend and you want to know whether he’s in or not. There’s no way you can tell that if you search the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. However, you can hear the Holy Spirit speak to you. You can walk in His counsel and make the right choices and decisions in your life. If you made a new friend, you’d have to spend some time to know him and understand his language. In the same way, you need to spend time with the Holy Spirit in order to understand His language and recognize His voice when He speaks to you. Start today to follow consistently the leading of God’s Spirit in your decisions and actions as you meditate on His Word and fellowship with His Spirit.

Separated By Grace

“By the God of your father, Who will help you, and by the Almighty, Who will bless you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings lying in the deep beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb” (Genesis 49:25 AMP).

When you set your attention on the Holy Spirit, you open yourself to the anointing of God’s Spirit for God’s greater blessings. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is not just for healing the sick and casting out devil. Those are just the outward signs of an inner life. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is to help you do what ordinary men can’t do and see what they can’t see. This is called the grace of God, which is the beauty and glory of God. This grace comes over your life and separates you from the general class. Remember, the Bible says Joseph was separated from his brothers by grace (Genesis 49:26). Grace found him, nominated him, and separated him for victory and the greater blessing. When you’re thus separated, located, and nominated by grace, it doesn’t matter who your adversaries are, you’ll always prevail. God, by choice, called Abraham. Referring to him, He said, “Abraham, My friend.” In the same way, He chose David by grace to be king over Israel. David had nothing to do with his nomination as king; grace located him in the field as he kept his father’s sheep, separated him from his brothers, and made him king. When you study about David, you’d discover that he was the first king in Israel to recognize the anointing. Saul, his predecessor, didn’t recognize the anointing but David did; he danced under it, sang under it and prophesied with it. Just as these men were separated by grace, you also were set apart from the rest of the world by grace. You’re ordained to live in all the blessings of the Lord. You didn’t ask for it but it was made available to you by the anointing of God’s Spirit. This was God’s plan when He said to the children of Israel, “I’m taking you to houses that you didn’t build; I’ll give you wells that you didn’t dig.” All you need to do is set your attention on the Holy Spirit and get acquainted with Him through the Word and fellowship, and He’ll bring you to that place of rest in Christ where you function by grace.

Recognize His Presence

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:16-17).

God sent us the Holy Spirit to guide us so we don’t miss our way or lose focus of His plans and purposes for our lives. Therefore, it’s the ministry of the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you into the truth about your future. This is why you must recognize and take full advantage of His presence with you. There’s no failure to the man that’s connected to the Holy Spirit. There’s no defeat for you when you recognize and are conscious of His presence. There are people whose visions have come to an end; they don’t know where to go or what to do anymore. Their lives have become miserable as they grope in the dark. If only such folks would recognize and become connected to the Holy Spirit, their visions would be renewed. When you recognize and fellowship with Him, you’ll never lose your way. He can tell you what to do and show you where to go. He is God’s blessing to you, sent to lead, guide, teach and strengthen you. No longer will you be weak, for He is your Strengthener. There’s such a unique freshness about the lives of those who are acquainted with the Holy Spirit and are connected to Him through fellowship. Experience that freshness today as you take advantage of His presence.

He Is Your Helper

“Our help is from the Lord who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 124:8 TLB).

The Lord Jesus said, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever” (John 14:16). This Comforter is the Holy Spirit, Whom we have received. One of the synonyms for the Greek word translated “Comforter” in the Scriptures is “Helper.” That means we have the greatest Helper living inside us twenty-four hours a day. He’s not just with you for a while but forever. I tell you, that’s good news. Hallelujah! David didn’t have the privilege of having this glorious Helper live inside him, yet he was bold enough to declare, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” (Psalm 118:6). From studying about him we see this truth manifested in his life. Quit saying, “I don’t have anybody to help me,” because the Helper is in you! Trust Him with your life. Believe and accept His Word concerning your prosperity and watch Him fly you on eagles’ wings. He’s the One Who “raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them” (1 Samuel 2:8). Remember that the Lord has said, “…I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Hebrews 13:5-6). Did you see that? He has given you what to say. Declare the wonderful things that have been written about you in the Word and enjoy the wonderful ministry and sweet fellowship with this gracious Helper; there’s nobody like Him.

SEPTEMBER 14, 2020: HE HAS MY HEART!

I declare that I’m in Christ, born again and full of the Holy Spirit. He has my heart! I have the life and nature of God in my heart. There’s a change in my heart; a transformation inside. I experience transformation and glory in my soul and body as a result of the impact and influence of the life and nature of God in my spirit. The Kingdom of God is set up in my heart. The Holy Spirit finds expression in my heart, dispensing His love through me. Out of the good treasures of my heart, I bring forth good. I’m mightily blessed by the Holy Spirit. I’m a life-giver. Thank You dear Father, for setting up your Kingdom in my heart. With my heart, I envision and apprehend the realities of the Gospel and of our Kingdom-life. I pray for the unsaved around the world, that their hearts be open to receive the Gospel, and be saved; that your power for salvation will mantle their hearts even now, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Hallelujah!

It’s Important To Know And Use What You’ve Got In Christ

Rhapsody of Realities Confessions

SEPTEMBER 15, 2020: HE’S WITH ME AND IN ME!

I declare that the Holy Spirit is my comforter, helper, teacher, guide, standby, counsellor and advocate. He’s with me and in me; therefore, I can never be in the dark or miss my way in life. He lives in my heart and abides with me forever. I’m conscious of His presence in my life. Irrespective of what I may face in my life, divinity is at work in me! Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I’m manifesting Christ; Christ in me, the hope of glory! Heaven is in me; The fullness of the Godhead is fully tabernacled in me, and expressed through me! Thank You dear Father, for the great honour and blessing of having Christ live in me by the Holy Spirit; by virtue of His indwelling and abiding presence, I’m infused with divine energy and supernatural wisdom to do the will of God, and live triumphantly over the devices of the evil one and the corrupting influences in this world. Hallelujah!
