Don’t Cry Anymore
“And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying” (Isaiah 65:19).
Dry your tears. You don’t need to cry anymore; that’s what Jesus came to put an end to! He has settled any and every situation that should make you cry. The Bible says, “Jesus understands every weakness of ours…” (Hebrews 4:15 CEV).
He knows what you’re going through and He’s given you His Word and His Spirit to help you come through victoriously. So stop crying! Isaiah 53:1-12 tells us how much He suffered for our sakes; He suffered your shame, took your pains upon Himself and gave you His glorious life. When He said, “It is finished” just before He gave up the ghost on the cross of Calvary, He meant the time of weeping was over. Hallelujah! In Isaiah 54:4, God said, “Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.”
He doesn’t want you to talk about the shame you experienced anymore. Don’t remind yourself about it because God has started glorious things in your life today. Nothing, no one, no weapon anywhere can put you to shame. God is with you; therefore, you have no cause to worry. It’s high time you stopped throwing pity-parties. Wake up to the reality of God’s Word. It is over! So wipe your tears and take up the Sword of the Spirit – the Word of God – to put the enemy to flight and effect the changes you desire in your life.
