DIVINELY GRACED ;
(You Reign In Life By Grace)
What is grace?
Grace is the outworking of an inward influence. It’s the divine influence of God in your spirit that’s seen on the outside.
To the Bible: Acts 11:22-23
“Then news of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch. When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord.”
Unmerited favour”; that has been the popular definition of “Grace” by many Christians. But grace is much more than that. I like to define it as that supernatural elixir upon the life of the Christian that differentiates him from the world. It’s the divine influence of God in your spirit that reflects on the outside in various ways.
One of the outward expressions of grace is favour. When favour is at work in you, every well-meaning person round you will be drawn to you. You may even be the new kid on the block, but they’ll be attracted to you, because there’s just something special about you.
Grace also brings joy into your life. Those who don’t understand the power of joy can’t express it. But when grace functions in you, it reveals itself in joy unspeakable and full of glory! Then people around you will wonder how come you’re always joyful and successful in all your endeavours.
Grace also deposits extraordinary abilities in you, causing you to do what others can’t do. It may be a gift of writing, or singing, or an ability to fix things. Look into your life and you’ll be amazed what tremendous gifts and abilities grace has deposited within you.
These are just a few among many wonderful blessings that are manifested in your life as you begin to understand and take advantage of the grace already imparted to you by the Holy Spirit.
Dear Father, I thank you for bestowing your grace upon me in abundance. It makes me acceptable, and gives me the advantage and favour with everyone. I stand strong in your grace and I take advantage of it today and every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
What special abilities and gifts has God’s grace deposited in you? List out as many as you can think of, and thank God for each one.
