FAITH HAS A VOICE!
(Speak Your Faith, Not Your Fears!)
TO THE BIBLE: Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Once, the children of Israel were terribly afraid because of the evil report brought by some of the spies Moses had sent to spy out the land of Canaan. The people wept bitterly when the spies told them about the giants in the land and how they were like grasshoppers before the giants. “We can’t defeat them,” they said, voicing their fears instead of their faith. That’s how some Christians are today. They lose heart and allow fear take a hold of them upon hearing the lies and evil reports from the enemy. He puts fear in their hearts by constantly bombarding their minds with thoughts about their failing health. Now, it doesn’t matter what the doctors have diagnosed concerning your health, refuse to fear. Voice your faith by releasing God’s Word of faith and healing.
I urge you today to do what Caleb and Joshua did; out of the twelve spies Moses sent to spy out Canaan, only the two of them stood out boldly to voice their faith. They said concerning the giants, “They are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not” (Numbers 14:9 KJV). That’s the voice of faith, and faith is what gives you the victory.
When you find yourself in an uncomfortable position, learn to voice faith-filled words. Never voice fear. As read in our opening scripture, the Lord is admonishing you today: “Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed.” In other words, when things don’t seem to be working out right, don’t say, “Why me?” Instead, be strong and courageous. Refuse to fear or be discouraged; stand your ground in faith and keep the victory shout on.
I refuse to fear or be discouraged because greater is he that is in me, than He that is in the world. Fear, doubt and unbelief have no place in me because my faith in God and in His eternal Word is the victory that overcomes the world!
